I bought this hoping to cheaply convert vga to s-video in order to connect my laptop to an older lcd projector that only had s-video and rca input. This one wasn’t appropriate for that need. I wound up finding a converter from Sewall that works perfectly for this need for around $30. That one might also help the people looking to connect computer to TV though I haven’t tried it for that purpose (though the Sewall cable does have a rca output and vga input so I would guess it might work).
