great when it works but both have now died within the first month,
windows became really unresponsive and then after a reboot, i got a message saying something like there was a bad boot sector. trying to ‘repair’ with the win7 disc did not work. this has happened now with both drive i bought. thankfully amazon is good and i got new ones and they are running good (so far)
no bad sectors reported with CHKDSK and the intel rapid storage utility says everything is ok. one more dead and i’m gonna get something else.

|COULD IT GET ANY BETTER?,
Great value $47.00 for a 1TB SATA III hdd. Installed in minutes. Quiet operation. Only issue could be reliability and life of hdd and only time can tell.

|Crashed in less than 1 week,
This HD died in less than 1 week. The problems started by the Hard Drive sticking and therefore the computer locked up.
The noise was so quiet that I had to put my up to the drive to hear that it was sticking. I gently tapped on the drive
and it started up. Soon the drive started to loudly buzz and would do nothing. Returned to Seagate after 1 week.
