Solid Performance!,
Cooler Master is by far exceptional when it comes to cooling products, so i wasn’t to sure when it came to purchasing a PSU. I need to power an over clocked i7 920 running at 3.6 Ghz along with a GTX 470. My old Power Up running at 450w wasn’t cutting it and i already had a bad experience with a cheap brand (Never again!). Came really fast with 2-Day prime shipping ordered it Friday afternoon and got it Monday After noon. Installation was easy came with seethed cables 4x6pin connectors which is a great attribute when you want to SLI your video cards which is also a good sign knowing it can push that much power. As always stays cool and really quiet im glad to say i made this purchase unlike the PSU i had purchased before. This is a great Mid range PSU it wont let you down and it hasn’t let me down yet been running it for about 5 days and hasn’t given me any issues. If this isn’t for you just make sure you buy a name brand PSU and always check for that 80 plus cert so you know its always going to have the guarantee that it will push.

|Great PSU for an Excellent Price,
I got this when I was building my new rig in July. I like the appearance of the metal case of itself, because I like blue and black, but the cables are not adequately sleeved. Maybe that is just me, but I don’t like how you can see through the crummy sleeving to the red, yellow, green, etc. wires. One other thing that also bothers me a bit is how they only have 3 molex connections. I know molex is being phased out, but so many fans, pumps, and fan controllers still use molex, and if you try and put that all onto 3 connectors, splitters will be needed. Other than that, this PSU is extremely reliable, silent, and high-quality. It has 9 SATA power connections, which is most likely more than you’ll need. It runs an i5 750 @ 4GHz, a GTX 470 @ 825/1650/1000, a 12v water cooling pump, and everything else in my system without a sweat. It’s a great PSU and I’d recommend this to everyone that needs something in this wattage range.

|Not a Gamer’s PSU!,
Despite what Cooler Master is advertising, this is not a PSU for gamers. I recently upgraded my PC with an Intel Core i5-760 CPU and a GTX 470 video card. I thought I probably should upgrade the PSU as well, because my old 450W probably would not cut it. After a little research, I found out 550W to 650W should be more than sufficient for my system configuration. I decided to go with Cooler Master GX 650W because of the price and I had relatively good experience with Cooler Master CPU coolers. Boy, what a mistake! I got all my parts in 2 days thanks to Amazon Prime. I quickly installed them, and everything seemed to be running fine at first. Then, I started doing some 3DMark to see the awesome-ness of my new GTX 470. But, whatever I tried, benchmark would not finish — the PC was either crashing or rebooting in the middle of the test. In the next 72 hours, I have tried everything, including changing back the CPU, video card, and reinstall Win7. I just could not get system to run stable in 3D Mark. After discussing the issue on some forums, someone suggested changing the PSU. Since I already sold my 450W, I had to borrow the one in my girlfriend’s PC. After replacing the PSU, my PC was working flawlessly right away. It was a such relief. I later did some more research on the Coolermaster PSUs and found on jonnyguru.com, a review site specialized in PSUs, that showed a review of Cooler master GX 750W with ripple, noise, and voltage regulation out of the spec. I wish I had done more research to avoid the hours of frustration and $20 shipping to send the defective unit back to Cooler Master.
